As Medical Director to FRESHface Clinic, Dr. Wayne M Young brings years of experience and passion to his patients care.
25 years ago as a child, he was informing his mother that she was frowning, and so would subsequently get wrinkles, Dr Young lives and breathes his art.
Trained initially in Johannesburg, South Africa, he then interned in the world famous Groote Schuur Hospital (where the world's first heart transplant was performed).
Subsequently he trained in London, working in the Surgical departments of hospitals such as Royal Free and the Royal Marsden, and in a Harley St. clinic. He then returned to Johannesburg for further cosmetic surgical training.
In Australia, he has trained extensively in General Surgery(4 years) and in Plastic Surgery(3 + 2 years in pure Cosmetic Surgery) in all the leading teaching hospitals with many of Sydney's leading Plastic surgeons. With his training in Plastic Surgery, he is able to use these techniques and skill so necessary for cosmetic surgery.
Some hospitals he has trained in surgery in Sydney are- RPA, St Vincent's, Westmead, and POWH.
Attending various local and international cosmetic surgical conferences and workshops yearly, Dr Young keeps up to date with the latest procedures and techniques.
Dr Young brings his keen eye and innate sense of style to the fore when assessing and treating his patients, aiming for a "look" that is not only age appropriate, but in line with today's style.
Through really listening to his patients, he is able to discover the changes they want, and this is one of the things that sets Dr Young apart from his contempories, he really cares.
His goal is to " not only make beautiful people, but to make people's lives beautiful".
